anonymous Guest | Real Media is a proprietary container and Real Networks does not allow other players (especially Windows Media Player, since version 6) to play its contents. Therefore there isn’t really a codec you can “install”. What you would need is a directshow splitter to play real media contents in windows media player, much like you would need a splitter to play ogm or matroska contents. Real alternative has such a splitter in it. if you want to stay legal use real player. again, unless you want to use some other player, it’s unlikely you’ll find a “codec” for real media.

radiv Guest | btw... you can play real media in Windows Media Player using this codec. WMP will complaint about the format is invalid first time you try, but just chose to play it anyway and it will work.

Dennis Guest | I don’t see what the problem is, I went straight to www.free-codecs.com and got alternatives to real player and quick time without having to download the players, both work fine with WINAvi converter
Good luck!!
