It just got worse... After using the program GetDataBack, which took many hours to scan and make an image file byu the way, the img file was saved from the (dmaged?) 120gb USB drive to my internal 200gb drive which had some other files on it. Now THAT drive can no longer be seen by my computer! I am soooooo angry right now. I was trying to save a few hundred dollars to a data recovery place and now I have TWO hard drives that seem to be no good! I don';t even know why I thought I could do this on my own... *sigh*

Does anyone know if I should remove the internal drive and box it up and ship it off someplace to have it fixed, or what should I do?

My computer is now limping along on it’s original 80gb HD which I have only lightly used in the last yr or so except for the operating system (Windows 2000) which is on it. A number of files that I want to 'get back' if possible from the OTHER internal drive include the program ACDSee which I use quite often. HELP!!!

Ultra ISO will solve the problem. Simply choose the IMG file to be converted and chose which file format you want it converted to. Choose a location for your new image and that’S it.The convertion process is extremely quick.

Once converted, burn/mount it using your favourite software.

Good luck!!!

I have a .img file that I have mounted to a virtual drive using Daemon tools. I don’t want to burn it to a DVD but I want to copy the mpeg file out. But everytime towards the end of the copying, there will be an error that says “parameter is incorrect”. The file can play just fine but I can’t copy it.

I downloaded the FF9 game from bittorrent, it comes with 4 folders, cd1, cd2, cd3, cd4. In each folder is a .img , .ccd, .sub file. After i renamed the .img file to .iso, i mounted it on daemon tools. its opens up another folder with FF9.IMG, SLUS_012.51, SYStem file and 4 sub folders with .STR files in them. since it in is the cd-rom, i cant rename the .img file to .iso. so i copied them oven to my c drive, renamed, mount, but it still doesn’t work. what must i do to get it to work?

Ok, here we go again. After scanning an ext. HD with the ptogram getdataback it made this huge image file (almost 114gb in size!) and I copied it to my internal 200gb hard drive. Now I can’t access that hard drive at all. With other software and booting from a CD I discover that the internal HD now has the following problem...

Invalid partition table.
Error loading operating system.
Missing operating system.

Anybody understand what happened and coulds I possibly get my internal HD working? I have files I really need on that drive. (Still don’t know what is wrong with the ext (120gb) HD and I may have to pay someone several hundred dollars to try and recover it. *sigh* Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Hey! I’ve just downloaded Final Fantasy 7 and after extracting it (using its own WinRAR extracter) I end up with 4 files, a .img file, .ccd, .cue and .sub, all the files have the same name, just different file types. A friend told me I should use Magic ISO and make the files into ISO’s. I did, but typically, it didnt work. Does anyone know what I have to do in order to get my game running?

Veronica, please! Can we keep it on a nice tone here? If you can’t say something constructive then don’t post anything, ok?

i think a good way to tell if an .iso or .img file is corrupted is by using the latest version of winrar to look at the files inside the image. To rename it to an .iso all you do is, open up any folder in windows, go to tools, options, view, uncheck the box that says hide file extensions for known file types. Then all files should show a 3 letter extension after their name (e.g. somefile.avi, or somefile.img) This then allows you to change those last 3 letters to whatever you want them. if you have a .img, i recomend you change it to .iso then use winrar3.4 or higher which can look inside .iso files
