.img files are what mac users have as the end result right before burnin to DVD we call it a disc image. If you downloaded it to a mac it would work fine on Toast 6, I use .img all the time. Though it would be as foreign to you as .exe would be to me.

So you got a ton of .rar files and don’t know where to go. You need winrar to extract the files. Once winrar is installed right click the .rar file ending in 00 and click extract here. So now you have a .img file located in the same folder. Rename the .img file extension to .iso and now it looks like you have another .rar file. Right click the .iso file and click extract here. After winrar extracts this file you will have an Audio_TS and Video_TS file. Open up your dvd writing software (I use copytodvd) look in the Video_TS folder you just created and the software will only give you the correct file to open. Burn to dvd and enjoy.

Thanx Brewer, you solved my dilemma... now I can store the 'video_ts' & 'audio_ts' folders instead of the .img (or the .iso files for that matter). Appreciate it!

Hi, I just recently downloaded hitch off a private acessed bit torrent server. It came in a IMG file and I’m abs the biggest noob when it comes to doing this stuff. I know what program to use...but I don’t know how to use them. Also I don’t have a DVD burner or I’m NOT looking to burn it on a DVD. I just want to watch it on my computer. I have lots of downloaded DVD-r and xViD rips on my pc I watch. Can anyone help me change this img file to something watchable on my pc? my aim is shawnyboy1186 and email is shawncs@gmail.com

Ok, today I downloaded a file. Very large img that by accident I got it to work. I changed the extension to ISO. Then it became an WinRAR extension. I opened it up in WinRAR and it decompressed the Audio_ts and Video_ts and the video works perfectly. Give it a try.

Hey everyone, I need some help on how to burn DVD-rips. they were zipped up using rar. and when i unzip them all, it turns out to be a video clip file. It’s too big for a CDR, so i was hoping to burn them onto a dvd..is this possible?? also, there’s a folder inside that has subtitles, but im not sure how to put them together? thanks in advance...
