Azmarya Guest | Alright, I have a .avi file and tried to play it on VLC; it didn’t play properly - I’m using Media Player Classic now. So, I downloaded the Combined Community Codec Pack and tried playing it on MPC. The video plays fine until the sound starts; then everything goes slow and the sound plays faster than the vidoe.
I deleted all the codecs I had and got GSPOT. It told me to download xvid - so I did. I also downloaded FFDSHOW. However, the sound still plays faster than the video. Now...I’m back to the combined community codec pack - it’s not working! Any suggestions?

Azmarya Guest | System....?? I have Windows XP...if that’s what you mean. I’m not running anything along with the media player. I just moved the file and played it on another computer of mine; it works. I guess something must be wrong with the other computer - a lot of .avi files don’t work on it.

Marcus Aurelius Guest | A codecs collection that I use is this: All in One, Xvid, DivX, XP pack, ffdshow, and for sound AC3 filter. Tools like Avicodec,Gspot, Video Inspector, Sherlock the codec detective, etc etc. Try them from here http://www.free-codecs.com/
