Dante, he has skill,more speed, and of course his durability. Dante took a sword through his stomach and just got up, of course in DMC3 he took a scythe in the leg, stomach, neck, and chest and just got up and walked around like it was nothing. Unless someone can prove me wrong Dante wins.

Without any special abilities this match isn’t even really a match. Ryu wouldn’t stand a chance in hell, even with abilities and powers he probably wouldn’t stand a chance.

Yeah, but Dante is what? Half Demon? That’s not a power, it’s his birthright. And being half demon he’s granted with more durability, speed, strength, ect. Ryu is just a normal Human without all his techniques and abilities.

We see Ryu at one point wielding the Dark Dragon Blade, let alone the True Dragon Sword which holds immeasurable power; Muramasa stated this. Also, Ryu recieved the curse from Doku and transformed into a fiend.

Dante can’t hit Ryu. Ryu’s fast enough to deflect/dodge bullets as he’s shown to, and teleports at will.

Lol, half demon? Ryu turns into a fiend completely. Last time I checked fiend and demon are synonymous. I guess Dante is not of his caliber.

I hate to tell you this but this is no powers, just pure swordsmanship.Should I give Dante his strongest sword then? If this was Dante with all his powers vs Ryu with all his Dante would still win.

So true just watch the opening cut scene of DMC3 and u shall see why dante rocks!

Stupid rules. Let Ryu and Dante use all their powers and gadgets.

Dante has accelerated healing, so this is problem for Ryu. Dante’s sword and guns no matter for Ryu, because Ryu can dodge and also block photons. Ryu has advantages in martial arts.

Anyway, if Ryu can kill Onslaught using his energy blast as in PS1 Marvel vs Capcom, I guess Ryu’s energy blast is lethal to Dante.

Perhaps the batlle goes like this :
Dante attacks Ryu using his weapons, but Ivory and Ebony plus huge sword is useless. Photons are Ryu’s daily activities. Ryu spin kicks Dante, makes all of his weapons fall. Dante is wounded, but he heals himself so quickly.

Ryu realizes that Dante can’t be killed by usual way. So he shoot his super energy blast (which similar to Goku’s kamehame). Dante’s flesh is shattered into pieces, and can’t regenerate again.

And devil may cry.

Uh what?Marvel vs Capcom isn’t canon.If thats the case Dante is allowed his Viewtiful Joe powers so skull markers appear whenever Ryu attacks him.

Skull markers? Can’t they help Dante from devastating attack that can even kill powerful guy like Apocalypse? Uppercut and spinning attack, okay. But Ryu’s energy blast, mmm I don’t think so.

I have played DMC. I think Dante is about as stronger as Duncan MacLeod, and faster than Duncan. Still not fast enough for Ryu’s energy blast. Ryu’s energy blast (what’s the name?!) can be overpowered into kamehameha like.

Right, well lets be realistic, Strip them both from everything except their clothes.
Dante is fast and strong.
Ryu is the same.
But to begin with, Ryu is only human, he has no powers, his hadouken and what-not come from his martial arts prowess. So you cant strip him of that, because he trained to gain that, there is nothing supernatural about it.
So Ryu should win, because Dante may be strong, fast, and have accelerated healing, but Ryu has special fighting moves that could flaw dante, before he can heal!

Ryu is a ninja.
Dante is a half-demon.
That is why this fight pwns.
I have not played DMC, but I want to.

I got DMC a while ago... don’t really like it.

controls are weird, I mean, jump is triangle... WTF?
