Hi,

I have the same problem. I got it today from Hong Kong. Put music and photos on but it froze and I unplugged the usb. Now I’ve lost everything and can’t fix it. When I click on music and photos I get the message 'disk error'. Does anyone know how to fix it?

This player seems to be a 1 GB player with fake 4 GB firmware. Try to format it with windows explorer and you’ll have just 1 GB. The player then works, but only with 1 GB.

How to format your player with Disk error:
To format yor player try this: 1. select Manage in My computer by Right click. 2. Select Disk Management
3 select youplayer as disk 4. Select Format by right click and go ahead.

How to keep your player (and host computer) alive for long time !
Attention !!!
I have two players. One have been killed by static discharge, another one was modifyed by myself and now happy!
Attention !!!
The problem is that case screws are too long and touch ground layer on the PCB inside device. So metal case connected with device’s ground, i.e. USB ground too and computer groud too. You will have player’s restart at all times or even Computer restart when you touch player’s case. And finally you will kill you player or USB port.
To fix just unscrew all screws and cut off about half mm of each. That’s it.

For the people that have problem with their MP4 players. Please read this....

Firmware Updates:
Many of the players are sold with a standard user manual and the section on firmware updates states “go to the website for firmware updates”, often with no website given, while if a website is given, it may not have the correct updates for a particular player. An incorrect firmware update is difficult or impossible to undo, and will likely involve dismantling the device and shorting the memory to put it into 'recovery mode'. It is generally considered a bad idea to attempt a firmware upgrade as the benefit is likely negligible and one risks ruining the player software.

As far as your players concern please don’t format your players. Just search to internet or ask the tech supp for the problems of your players. ^^,
