Blocky Video

I’ve got a wmv filetype that when opened with DivX, plays audio but the images are just colored blocks. (Actually it doesn’t even play until I fastforward it.) Opened with Kazaa, it plays on its own with audio but shows blocky images then crashes. Is there a codec cure for this one? Thanks.
