That is a codec for vista but if you need the codec for XP good luck

ok.. so i got this Samsung mini DV SC-D363 camcorder about a year ago for my birthday and have since made a lot of videos on tape, but i cant get it onto my computer. i have windows XP and i’ve tried windows movie maker and it says i dont have a video device plugged in. is there any way to get the video from a tape in my camera to windows movie maker? i really need help

I’m having the same issues with the SC-D363 camera that scubaguy is having. When I try to download the videos that were shot using an SD 1gb memory card, all I get in return is a blank screen and sound only. Samsung is no help...all they told me was that I needed to read my manual. The only software I got in the box was for video editing software. I’ve emailed Sam’s Club today and am waiting for a response. I am just sick about not seeing any images! The video is what we shot when my granddaughter was born in June. GRRRR!!!!!

I got the same shit with SC DC 164 fuckin DVD cam. Now I hate SAMSUNG! It really sucks. I couldnt find codecs vor vista on software CD, wich comes with the camcorder. Neither I found proper one on the Samsung website. My PC steel cant see any Samsung DVD cam connected to the USB.
Its a real headache.

Hello, I have two problems with my Samsung SC-D363.
First:
I have created movies several times with no issues. Recently When I watch my recorded inf on the SC-D363 the picture is clear and nice but when I upload the video it comes out blury on the PCand when I burn it. N idea why.

Problem number 2.

Because I was having issues with the PC I tried to upload the video onto my new laptop which uses Vista. I have tried Fire wire and USB and neither will work. I downloaded all the drivers but still nothing. Any suggestions on either issue.
