Use K3B (Linux) or Nero (Windows) or whatever DVD copying software you have and copy the DVD (create *.iso file) this disk image file is also mountable. Failing this, try this in Linux:
dd if=/dev/dvd of=/tmp/dvdimage.iso
check the /tmp directory for the *.iso file.

A video ts is a dvd folder ready for burning. Use Clone DVD2 a very easy program point to the folder and burn it. For Nero or Roxio choose dvd and copy the entire folder and burn it. Any vob file can be play with whatever player you might have Power DVD or WinDVD.
