Hi, I have some .mpg files (about 50MB-100Mcool that for some reason are not showing the proper time in any player I try (WMP, BSPlayer, QT, DivX, etc.) In fact, it is almost all of the mpegs. For example, one file is a 24minute movie that shows up as :34 on any of the players. I tried the file on an older computer not running XP and it works fine. I presume this has something to do with the bitrate, but I’m not sure if this has something to do with the codec.
Has anyone else had this problem or do you have any suggestions?

I don’t know if this will be related to your case, but when I installed the Elecard MPEG-2 decoder, all the times on my mpeg-1 movies became messed up in the same way. Seems like an isolated case though (I use a K6-2 - could this be it?). The problem went away when I uninstalled the decoder.
PS: It’s one of the reasons why I use media player classic to play my mpeg-2 instead of the elecard decoder.
