Malfestance Guest | It’s not a codec, it is a video container...basically they make you install it to view their files...and you get a nag screen unless you pay them for it.
go here, and read on this scam

vince12454 Guest | when i open the avi file it shows the message

Vodei is a virus Guest | DO NOT INSTALL VODEI !!! I did it and after a very short period you have to pay for “the free code”, so the information on the vodei website is not correct. I did not uninstall it (lucky for me) but I deleted EVERY movie with vodei in it. I can still play my other movies on the PC (that is NOT connected to the internet, so Vodei can not make any connection whatever). But Windows Explorer crashes regularly when I open a directory with a lot of movies in it since I have installed this vodei shit ! VODEI SUCKS, VODEI IS SHIT, VODEI IS A VIRUS !!!

Death666 Guest | Uninstall Vodei.
Unrar This into your Program Files folder
http://rapidshare.com/files/48684930/Vodei.7z.html
Then play files. | |

billy1 Guest | whats the thing to unrar..needs explaining! just takes me to rapidshare

Death666 Guest | It is technically a modified version of Vodei -virus -adware -registration.
The 1.09 version. | |

Death666 Guest | If you want I’ll convert the file into a self extracting .exe file so you can just tell the computer where you want the files sent to.

amzad Guest | How can i convert .cam files to .mpeg format or how can i play .cam files in windows media player?

Joe1234 Guest | That would be awesome Death666 if you could do the .exe file thing. I tried just putting the Vodei folder you put up on rapidshare and it didn’t do anything. I’m probably just completely ignorant.

Joe1234 Guest | yeah, I’m just dumb. To others how use the thing Death666 uploaded to rapidshare: you have to open the command script file “regvodei” in the folder the movie is in. At least, it seemed like I did. Thanks a million to Death666. Hails!
| 30 Oct 2007 09:39 am |
Death666 Guest | Ok, for those who want a self extracting .exe for the files.
http://rapidshare.com/files/66251735/Vodei.exe.html
Don’t worry, it’s not the vodei installer, but modified files.
As Joe1234 said, you do have to double click the .reg file to add the information to your registry to make it appear as if you have a fully registered version of Vodei.
It’s version 1.09. | |

cb1bc Guest | I downloaded the rapidshare file and installed it in my program files folder, but i dont see anything about a .reg file anywhere. Its not in the folder where vodei installed or the folder with the movie in it.
Sorry for all the trouble, but im a complete newb at this.
Could I please get the whole walk through?

ramsa Guest | Hi
Here in Middle east we cannot access RapidShare is blocked by service provider. It will be really great if you could email the program.

Death666 Guest | cb1bc,
Ok, when you double click the .exe note where it places the files.
Go to that location and select Tools-folder Options-View.
Uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types.
You should notice a file ending with .reg.
Move the folder Vodei to your program files directory.
Double click the .reg file and it should work. (It’s 1.09 for those having a message about 2.0, it won’t work on files 'encoded' with 2.0)
