installing sims 2 - please help me?

i just downloaded “The sims 2 (full version) zip”, and when i open it with winzip, i see many, many files which seem to be part of the Sims 2 (like jpgs for houses, XA files, etc), as well as some dlls, an UnPack.bat and Sims.exe. When I cliked Sims.exe i got “could not find The Sims data directory” .. I really don’t know what to do so I can play the game.

I’d really appreciate any help possible. Do I need a no - crack CD thing, do I need to burn something, etc..?
