how do you rewriting the header on an mpeg file. I was thinking i could use vcdgear to extract the mpeg file and burn the mpeg2 file to cd using nero would this rewrite the header, thanks if anyone can help

no, mpeg tools in tmpgenc, with any of those options you should be able to multiplex with different headers.

if I may ask, what is your goal? You trying to play a svcd in a player that only supports vcd?
