Chinese MP4 Player Folder help

I have a fake ipod mp4 from e-bay(item #150031142347)I have put all my music into folders and when i open a folder it doesnt show the songs in it.it just has another folder with no name and a dash that scrolls to the left, then when i select it it just goes back to the first folder. I have to go through every single song to get to the one i want to hear. Does anyone know if there is a way to go to a certain folder without going through all the songs? Thanks for any help. i am going to throw this in the ocean if i have to search through 100 songs.
