well...I managed to install the codecs, etc just fine, and I can play the movie using Media Plyaer Classic just fine (although normal Win media player will not, strangely enough), but I still cannot play ANY movies while IG, and it is keeping me from advancing in the game. Any other ideas? (btw I already have the AVIs on my HDD, etc)

In order to install a codec under XP you may need to add it to the system using the plugins tab in the Tools->Option window in the WMP.

This should work:

1. Put it in your windows\system32 folder
2. Click Start->Run
3. Enter this and hit OK:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\tm20dec.ax

You may need to reboot to make it work. Also, if you want to uninstall it you should run this before deleting it:
regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\tm20dec.ax

What is what?

Also, the board ate the backslashes in my post. Let me try again:
revsvr32 c:\\windows\\system32\\tm20dec.ax
and
regsvr32 /u c:\\windows\\system32\\tm20dec.ax

No:
1. Put it in your c:\\windows\\system32 folder
2. Do Start->Run->regsvr32 c:\\windows\\system32\\tm20dec.ax
3. Reboot (may or may not be necessary)

If you want to uninstall, do:
1. Start->Run->regsvr32 /u c:\\windows\\system32\\tm20dec.ax
2. Then move or delete the file out of the c:\\windows\\system32 folder

I’ve found the codec. It’s a pack of codecs and its 49 mb.
When you install it, select the tm20 codec only (unless you want another codec also). It worked for me.

hey thanks for the ace mega codecs link...i can now see all of my Final Fantasy videos but there was only one problem and it doesn’t involve the game...it’s just that if I try to use my Windows Movie Maker...with or without a FF video...I can’t view anything that I make so I have to use something else to make movies but anyway...I’ve just come here to post my thanks to you!
