Help! MPEG and AVI convert to DVD

I’m a beginner at all of this so I would be very greatful of any advice on how to burn onto DVD.I’ve downloaded files of MPEG and AVI format, how do I convert and copy onto DVD.I downloaded WinAvi but only the trial version to test it out, it converted (I believe) but where do I find the file, as the only file still on my computer is still the MPEG.I’m then using Nero 6 to burn my DVD’s, when I finally sort this out that is.

I usewinavi.com/avi-to-dvd.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_new">winavi,too,and it work good for me,especially v7.7.I don’t know why you can’t find the file(I guess your meaning converted file),you can set the out put directory by yourself.
