Rob M Guest | ITS BECAUSE YOU ARE USING A 'REALTEK' SOUND-CARD!!....
'REALTEK' for reasons i dont think even they know, have sound cards that 'Yahoo' just doesn’t like.I have been emailing REALTEK for over 13 months now and still haven’t got a solution!! My advice?...do what i did and buy an alternative sound card and hit REALTEK where it hurts...IN THE POCKET!!

Loyal Guest | the problem is on ur realtek i have the same error message till now no solution found

Markie Guest | I had this issue as well-well not that i wanted to do this but I went ahead and downloaded and installed the newest version of yahoo messenger 8.1 and that error was solved automatically-i have gone through the new yahoo code itself, and it seems that the main reason why many of us who have or had realtek sound cards-was not realtek not fault on their part-the main issue was with yahoo and their voice servers-trying to not be so technical-it appears that the yahoo voice servers accept and broadcast at the very best 16-bit sound-the realtek sound drivers are designed to broadcast in several different modes-but since they claim “true” surround sound that means that any sound output coming from our sound cards is at the very LEAST 24 bit, now the problem is with the older versions of yahoo, their voice servers were not able to “talk” to our sound drivers-because the communication was simply not being exchanged properly-so what yahoo did with this newest version is to incorporate at least 24 bit sound into their voice module-hence solving this issue for the time being. now for those that have been trying to play or broadcast music into yahoo chat rooms-i have stumbled across the solution-i believe-but this will only work if you have BOTH inputs on the front of the tower and at the back of the tower-make sure you are telling the realtek software driver you are using the front connectors-the solution is to choose the “front” mic and simply unplug your microphone from the front and then remember to “select” the front mic on the “recording” mixer this will allow for now to play music through your realtek sound card into yahoo chat rooms and conferences-but you must upgrade to the newest yahoo messenger in order for your sound card to be recognized correctly-believe me i have tried with older versions of yahoo and it simply doesn’t work.
If you anyone needs help add me or email me at mark_archuleta108@yahoo.com and if you wish to add me to your list-please email me first and tell me you are from this forum.
Hope this works for you all.
