Converted AVI to VOB. Now cannot burn DVD in Nero?

Hi guys,

I have a 12GB AVI file that was actually downloaded from my video camera (1HR tape). My aim is to somehow get this video footage onto a DVD disk, either single or dual layer. I have converted the AVI file to VOB and this has reduced the size to 4.33GB. When i try and created a DVD Video option in Nero i get a msg stating 'The file is more than 2GB therefore cannot be stored on an ISO file system'. It then doesnt allow me to create a DVD. Can anyone recommend what i can do here or a better way to get my 12GB movie footage somehow on a DVD

I think you may need more than one DVD disc.Usually a 700MB avi file will burn to a 4.3G(4.7G)disc.Your original file is too large.
