Players crash with some AVI files

My video players (media player, DivX player and Quicktime) can run most AVI files. However, some AVI files can’t be played. The media player just crashes without explaination. I checked the codec info and that seemed to be allright so that can’t be the problem. Has anyone experienced the same problem or better yet: has a solution?

I think I know what your talking about. After it crashes, does some message appear like “Incorrect function” or something like that. My suggestion would be to delete the ones that you are having trouble with and download them again, it worked for me once.
