shamone Guest | hi,
i have some AVI files that i want to burn to VCD. i have previously used Nero for this but it has the annoying habit of burning a VCD with n upsidedown picture!!!
does anyone know a good program for burning or converting to MPG/VCD format??
i’ve tried TMPGEnc but it always seems to crash whenever i try to convert to mpg
thanks,
shamone

PJ Guest | I am having exactly the same issues. I have dowloaded a free trial of winmpg will is allowing me to convert a downloaded avi to mpeg 1 precisely for nero but the time the programme takes to do this is rediculous. There must be a better way.

NRen2k5 Guest | shamone, get a more recent codec version for the movies that you’re having trouble with and your problems should all go away.
The problem isn’t shitty software, it’s a shitty codec.

FMP Guest | To PJ:
I’m having problems with nero 6. Everytime I tried to convert 3 episode at a time it always stop after it finish converting one episode. Then a message “mpeg encoder error” pops up.
Do you know how to solve this?

NRen2k5 Guest | Well you could always use Concept or TMPGenc to convert the AVI’s to VCD-compatible MPEG’s and then use Nero just to burn the VCD from the MPEG’s...

PistolPete Guest | try using the latest version of Roxio Easy Cd & DVD creator 6. It converts avi files directly to VCD or SVCD. Even converts WMV files also to VCD or SVCD. Try it, it’s great !!
