I just downloaded a movie that is a DIVX format file.. After some reading I found that DVDSanta is a good program to use.. SO I got a hold of that program and select it to convert it from DIVX format to DVD, and it begins. However a note pops up saying something like “This video file has divx menu’s” and then it goes away after I click ok and continues without error, creating the Video_TS folder with all files inside...

My question is, can I still burn this video and will it work as is in my dvd player now? (in regards to the whole divx menu thing) or will the divx menus also show up when i plop the dvd into my player at home?

Ok, scrap the first question..

This was the exact process I did, as I usually burn my DVD’s this way with no problem (however they are usually .avi files and not divx formatted files)

I loaded DVDSanta and converted the Divx File to DVD format with this program, it created a Video_TS and Audio_TS folder as it should.

I loaded up Nero and ran nero through my usual burning process, and it burned fine.

I loaded the dvd into my home dvd player, except instead of playing th emovie, it loaded up the same divx menu that loads if I load the movie on my computer, except the differece is that I can select which DIVX file I want to use throught he menu when using my computer, but I cannot select anything when it is in my DVD player burnt to the DVD, all I see is the menu that I see on my comptuer, but nothing can be selected. Also, the timer on my DVD player is going up in minutes, just as if it was counting through the amount of time the movie had been watched when watching regularly.

Any way around this, or to get rid of the divx menu? anything?
