i just got myself NEC ND-3550A DVD burner and im using nero 7 premium to burn my DVDs, but I dont know exactly what option to use.

My dvd player only plays back super video. After the DVD has been burning awhile it freezes and shuts down.

I was wondering if its the format im using or possibly my computer specs (AMD 2400xp, 2.0GHZ, 1GB of SDRAM)

Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Here is a link about some firmwares for your drive and if you now how to do it go ahead, if not read about how to flash before updating the firmware. Be sure you get the rigt one otherwise you may damage the drive and is going to be history.Download tools like Video Inspector or DVD Info or use Nero Info to find out what firmware you have now. Before you do anything try a different media. Also get a good burning software for me Nero 7 is still buggy. Roxio is good also a new Ashampoo 6.20 bundle is very easy to work with.Good Luck.
