I have downloaded topfield recorded TV programs to my PC. They are XXX.rec files. Nothing seems to recognise or be able to play these files.
Can anyone give me advice please???

I have the same problem. I once managed to play them downloading a free codec collection from the internet (it was called ASC or so). But the real question is how to convert them into mpg or avi? Anybody can help please?

VideoReDo (http://www.videoredo.com/) is what you need, or MPEG Streamclip (free http://www.squared5.com/ )
