confused about cda and the conversion from cda to wav

i find an explaination about cda:CDA stands for CD Audio. You will see CDA files on your Music CDs. Copying these files to your HDD won’t copy the track to your HDD; it will just play the track from the CD itself. The tracks however, can be ripped to your HDD as a digital audio format like MP3.
