Starr Guest | Hello everyone.
First time poster.
I’ve downloaded this .avi movie which came with two .srt files. one is English and the other is another language (the symbols don’t show up)
Neither of the subtitle files are named identical to the .avi movie, but when i Try to rename the English .srt, the movie file stops working entirely!
Playing on WMP, by the way.
It does Say its 'Playing' and the full time length of the movie appears but all i see is a black screen.
However it starts to work again as soon as i change the name of the .srt file back to what it originally was.
Any ideas?
Thanks! | |

Starr Guest | Sorry!
Forgot to mention...
The reason why I think this is very odd is because I have just recently successfully renamed a .srt to the corresponding .avi filename (different movie), and it played beautifully!
I’m using VSFilter. | |

Starr Guest | I figured out i can play the .avi files and the identically named .srt files WILL work if i use Classic Windows Media Player (Start — >Run — >mplayer2) not WMP 10.
In case anyone else encounters this problem | |
