Converting MKV to AVI to work on DVD players that have divx.

Like I said before in another post.....you have to convert mkv to avi. Doing what Rocksinger said works fine on PC ,but not on a dvd players. It wont work. I’ve tried many times. I use a program called SUPER for the convertion. It’s a free program and can be found here.

First use mkvmerge to merge the audio & video you want , then start muxing. done. now use SUPER. The great thing about this program is you can make the mkv or ogg files into any container you want. AVI,, MP2, MP3, MP4, VOB whatever. you can even choose the output video codec & audio codec. Frame rate, Aspect ratio and also 2.0 or 5.1 sound. This programs great and very easy to use.

Just drop the mkv you want to convert select the container you want audio, video then press encode.

Now burn with Nero or whatever program you use. then play on you dvd player.
