Okay so i dl’d Gothic 3 and it came in .mds and .mdf. So i mount the .mdf with Daemon Tools, install it, and all goes smooth. Than i hit start game, the logo comes up and than it asks me to insert game disk and to keep the game disc in while i’m playing. This has never happened to me before and i’m pretty puzzled. Does anyone know of a solution? I’m not too computer retarded if that helps any. I think i’m gonna give Alcohol 120% a look and see if that changes anything, not sure if it will or not.

WTF wrote: These message boards look like the fucking special olympics, only for the PC-challenged. I’m all for asking, teaching, learning, but for christ sake, take a minute or two to read and you’ll probably find your answer w/o having to post the same shit over and over.

And BTW, there is this wonderful tool called a search engine(you know, like google).

.MDF/.MDS are Alcohol 120% files as you should now know.

.RAR, use WinRAR or similar to extract.

.NRG, use Nero to rip or mount.

.CCD, use cloneCD to rip or mount.

.ISO, most ripping apps cover ISO’s.

.BIN/.CUE, same as .ISO’s.

I realize we all have questions sometimes, but it just frustrates me when people can’t help themselves, at least to some extent.

One more time... SEARCH ENGINE.

omg...dude you made my day, i couldnt help but lmao when i saw this...fuckin epic, swa swa swa

Hi everyone!
My problem is similar to DxS’s (quote #44):
I tried to mount the MDS with Alcohol120% but it said “Unable to mount image.File not accessible” so i mounted the 001.MDF (the 1st one 'cause there are 8 in total and only the 1st contains files like setup and all...) and that worked... BUT when i tried to open the setup it comes with “setup.exe isnt a valid win32 application” !!!
I also tried to burn it with Alcohol120% but it comes up with “Something is wrong with the recording procedure! Please check the log file and report any errors to Technical Support."

Can someone help?? please... ???
