can't play .mvk files, possible too many codecs?

I’ve been trying to play some .mkv files and I’ve read countless posts here and other forums and I’m having not luck. I think my problem may be that I have too many codecs and such installed. Below is a list of the video and audio codecs that I have installed (at least that I know of, I got the list from the control panel Sounds and Audio Devices and clicking on the Hardware tab

I’ve tried plaing this file in various differnt plaers as well, none of which work fully, some no audio some no video, some messed up audio ect. ect.
