Cookie Whore Guest | Well, I`m having lots of trouble. x__X;
I think it might be something that`s wrong with my WMP 9 to start with. You see, it plays no video at all. Everything passes as audio to it; it even attmots to show me those cheep visualizations instead of my video.
Oddly enough, I got the exact same system (Win XP Prof) installed on other computer, with same codecs and stuff, and the player works just fine.
Anyway.
I got through everything on two first pages. Nothing works.
The Video LAN thing.. or the VLC or something... nope.
...Although, it also might have something to do with the BatchTorrent being incomplete, but usually, I can open them fine, first time I ran into this OGM to begin with... Q__Q;
Yeah. So I ended up with a bunch of useless codecs on my brand-new PC. Oh joy. Now installing the WMP 10 to top it off...
...SWEET GOD, that`s the cutest player I`ve seen! Woah. But guess what, it still won`t play OGM.

Try installing the OGG codec and renaming the files to ".avi”. With the .ogm extension winamp didn’t recognize it as video, with .avi extension it worked for me.

ERICanimeFREAK Guest | I JUST READ THE LAST POST CUZ I WAS HOPING TO FIND OUT WHY MY OGM FILE WOULDN’T CONVERT TO AVI WITH MY VIDEO CLEANER"TURNS OUT IT WAS AN OGG”(ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN FIX THIS???)!! (YES I BOUGHT WINAVI, DVDLAB PRO, MULTIMEDIA CONVERTER, AND VIDEOCLEANER) MULTIMEDIA CONVER ONLY GOOD FOR: CONVERTS MP3 TO AVI GOOD FOR MENU THEME SONGS ON DVD’S AND THE PROGRAM IS GOOD FOR SPLITTING AVI’S IF U USE THE RIGHT ENCODER “DON’T USE THE STANDARD MICROSOFT VIDEO COMPRESSOR”.
WINAVI IS GOOD FOR CONVERTING AVI TO AND FROM AVI TO VOB (IF IT DIDNT WORK IT MEANS U GOT TOO MANY OF YOUR CODECS ACTIVATED IT USSUALLY TELLS U WHICH ONES IT DOSENT WANT, BUT IF WORSE COMES TO WORSE TRY ACTIVATING THEM 1 AT A TIME. VIDEO CLEANER WILL CONVERT JUST ABOUT ANYHTING INTO AVI I HAVE FOUND AS LONG AS U USE THE RIGHT ENCODER ACTIVATED OFF YOUR LIST WHICH U WILL “PROBBLY” HAVE IF U WATCH ANIME AND SHIT IN OGM, BY THE WAY OGG WILL REGISTER ON COMP AS OGM WHICH VIDEO CLEANER WILL CONVERT TO AVI BUT OGG WONT CONVERT. I LOVE MAKING HOME MADE DVD’S (WITH MY OWN MENU’S AND SHIT AND VIDEO AND SUBBS AND DUAL AUDIO AND DVD QUALITY. BY THE WAY WHEN USSING DVDLAB WITH WINAVI TO MAKE DVD’S SET YUR ENCODING OPTION ON WINAVI TO 88% VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL FOR IT TO FIT PERFECT INTO YUR TV WITHOUT CUTTING OUT PICTURE OR SUBBTITLES.
BY THE WAY WHEN USSING DVD LAB MAKE SURE U MAKE YUR AC3 FILES INTO MPA VERY IMPORTANT IF U WANT SOUND! HOPE THAT ANSWARED YUR QUESTION ON FILE TO AVI QUESTION IF NOT EMAIL ME AND I MIGTH BE ABLE TO HELP.

Fell Guest | I was downloading an isohunt bittorrent, and I got bored and tried to play one of the files. I was downlaoding for like, 5 days, so when I see that none of the files are WMP files, I got pretty pissed
so they I take 1 as a sample and try to play it, and it doesnt work
I spend 2 hours searching for codecs, players, and get nothing
I dl BSPlayer, and just like in WMP, it says its playing, but it isnt actually going anywhere, just 0:00:00...yeah
so Im wondering, could it be cuz I didnt finish downloading the torrent, cuz last time I played an unfinished file, it turned all frame skippy
or maybe its because Im using WMP10, and everyone else is still using 9?

Aion Guest | Right, I can open .OGM files... My problem is that that I can’t get subtitles in anything apart from VideoLAN. That would be fine but sound with VideoLAN has some issues where it sounds like when you need to move the aerial on your tv due to bad reception. Any ideas? Sounds works fine with OGM files on everything else.

A friend in Blue Guest | The Best way to solve the OGM Crisis is as follows:
1) Uninstall all codecs you have manually installed. Ogm, mkv and all other codecs. Leaving Divx is Ok but get rid of X-Vid codecs.
2) Next go to the site: http://cccp-project.net/ and download the combined community codec.
3) Install and all types of files will play wonderfully.
4) If you continue to see no video try re-installing your video player. Sometimes windows Media player catches a bug in itself and stops playing all video. Re-installing it from the main site fixes the problem.

A friend in Blue Guest | By the way the Combined community codec has basically all the codecs needed to play the .ogm file type, as well as .mkv files and many others not listed. It is highly recomended.
