Hi' i’m using bsplayer pro for some time, and until recently .ogm files worked just fine on it.
i have installed some codecs to let him play .mkv files, but now it won’t play any .ogm files!
even after i removed it and re-installed it, it still won’t play them! it just keep saying “can’t open file”!
could someone please tell me what’s wrong with the player?

(p.s. sorry for my english)

Try Zoom player standard.... It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of the other players but I have no problems playing any format and gives the location for other formats if needed. Easy to use. I use it to play all audio and video now.

Try it for no problems....

Good luck..

I downloaded VLC media player to play .ogm files, and I also found a codec somewhere that lets me play them on windows media player. But if I play the .ogm files on the windows media player, I can’t get the subtitles to show up (I can change the language to Japanese easy enough). It’s no problem on the vlc, but I prefer the windows media player. Thanks!

alright, i’ve figured out my problem, don’t know if anyone else is as stupid as i am, but the reason my ogm files were going weird on me is because the bittorrent was still downloading all the files, while i was trying to open the files it already downloaded. apparently bittorrent locks your files until all the files are done downloading.

Hi, I downloaded some Anime videos (.ogm with japanese and english audio and english subtitles) from torrentsearch.com and at first neither BS Player Pro nor Windows Media Player 10 could open them. I installed Ace Mega Codecs Pack 6.01 and The Core Media Player, and then I could open them with both TCMP and BS Player, but both the video and the sound kept freezing, so I uninstalled all the codecs (and I must have had about 300 of them!) and installed just xvid and ffdshow. That solved the problem (so all the freezing was probably because I had too many useless codecs), but now BS Player doesn’t play them at all and TCMP only plays them with english sound and english subtitles at the same time and I can’t stop the subtitles. If someone can help me please tell me what other codecs I need to install or what is the best player for .ogm files.

Okay, so I finally got the torrent I want- or the first two and a half episodes anyway (Thanks to Bittornado), and no matter how many links and etc. to OGM codecs and players I try, it will not play. Is this my torrent corrupted or is the whole “making Media Player actually start playing the thing rather than just telling me it is” more complex than I had previously thought?
