Jenny Guest | OMG!!!! I’m sooooo pissed off right now... Yesterday night, I whent through all the trouble of downloading the whole entire Chobits series. Then when I come home, my brother installed everything and did the same exact thing he did on his computer in order to work the .ogm files... One his comp, they’re fine... On mine, it’ll say that it’s playiong but the time stays at 0:00 and there is no sound or video. After,m my brother whent to another site followed the directions EXACTLY and installed moe stuff... still didn’t work... So I came over here took all of your guys' advice... still doesn’t work. Then I downloaded Avi2DVD thinking that it’d work for sure but when I try to open the file to convert or whatever the hell you do with it, and error that says “Invalid floating point operation." comes up... Then when I came to my brother (who is now SUPER pissed right now) yelled at me, gave me a lecture on somethiing about my computer’s hard drive.. not new.. blah blah.. new computer... then he threw stuff at me... =_='; I KNOW that there’s a way to get it to work. I ALWAYS manage to prove my brother wrong because he thinks that he knows every single thing about computers when, by the way, he doesn’t. I’ve tried and I’ve tried... and I REALLY don’t want to get a new computer. I’ve just had to have this one reformatted, I still owe my dad over 100 bucks and I don’t get paid for chores, I have no money, and my dad has nothing for me to do for money at his shop... I just want to get it to work and move on with my life.

Carnage Guest | I;m not sure if this is an ogm problem, but you guys are pretty smart, so ill give it a shot. I downloaded the antire series of Ranma 1/2 and i’ve watched all of the seasons up to the last episode of season 5, but season 6 won’t work, and i’ve checked season 7 and it works, so i was thinking it mustve been a codec problem, but i was also wondering if i burnt them on to dvd would it work on a dvd player and i was wondering if you guys had any advice, and also i have wmp 10 and i was wondering if you could downgrade to 9 because i hate 10, when i look for codecs its all for 9. please help me, ill die if i can’t finish the series!

Bobert Guest | Here is a very DIRTY way to get most of your OGM files to play.
Oh yeah, you won’t need those pesky VLC players either.
Download and install the Cole2k codec pack. (google it)
Now, open the command prompt and rename those *.ogm files to .avi
Windows Media Player 10 (maybe 9) will now recognize them as valid files, but will still use the appropriate codec to play them.
As I said before, this is a dirty way to do it. and if you try it with the newer mkv files, it will play all audio tracks at once.

Just_that_guy Guest | Tired of all that stupid codecs that doesn’t work properly, efficiently, or not at all? here’s something that really works.
- scroll all the way down to download.
- works 100% on Win XP

Just_that_guy Guest | make sure you download the STANDARD version... it’s free, but not the PRO. (that’s pretty common sense isn’t it?)

Erucolindo Guest | VLC i guess work with most media files.. however, bad encodings can cause problems.
i use K-lite mega pagage from http://www.codecguide.com/
you can choose if you want to run MPC or BSplayer. i prefere MPC. Works like a charm.
