Hi, I don’t know what I did, but when I open .avi and .vob files using Media Player or Winamp, I get the error "...has encountered a problem and needs to close...". Please help!

So close the bloody WMP. Have you tryied any other players? Try from this site VLC,BSplayer and Media Classic work way better than Microchep stuff. http://www.free-codecs.com/ If you still have problems try to install a decent codecs collection like All in One,Xvid,Divx, XP Codecs and for sound AC3 filter from the same site. GSpot and Avicodec are video analysers and openning an avi file with them you’re going to find out what codecs you need.
