How would you find out what version your MP4 player is?

I bought an MP4 player off E-bay and it lookse xactly like the IPOD Nano but the thing is..the model is nowhere to be found on the box or player.

Hi there tony,
well i am using one of the china brand mp4 player.
the format this player use is amv or mtv not mp4.
i want to find out more about the ipod nano look alike as i am in singapore and there are lots of ipod nano look alike under different brand names..they are all the same there is nothing like model in these players. they come in 1.2”, 1.5” and 1.8” screen size.
