I am having the exact same problem. Tried both 4.05 and 4.00 versions (from Scrub50187). Sometimes it stops in the same place, other times it will convert more of the file before it bombs out. The error is always simply “DISK FULL!"
Tried writing to several hard drives (all over 10GB free) and also directly to an SD card - same problem. Tried different resolution input files - same problem. Tried different output settings - same problem.
MP4 player was not connected when converting files - does it need to be for some reason??? I just want to convert to AMV format, not copy them to the player yet.
Surely other people must have also run into this ???

As a follow-up to my own question, I discovered that this “disk full” error does not occur when I run the AMV Convert Tool on my WinXP machine at work. At home - where I get the error - I’m running Win2K. It may not necessarily be the Windows version that is causing the problem, but it does appear to be a file dependency issue. Unfortunately the error message - “disk full” - gives no clue as to how to track down the problem.
Other problems, such as the one mentioned in the previous message, are at least traceable to an incorrect version of a .dll file (i.e. WMVCore.DLL)
Because of these compatibility issues, I consider the AMV Convert Tool to be a “Beta” in its current state. The installation program needs to check for the correct version of .dll’s that the program is dependent upon.

You guys with corrupted .dll’s must have downloaded a virus infected version. Get a virus checker and fix the damage. Then log in as administrator and install a clean version from one of the sites above.
