I have ahd a quick look at previous messages, but couldn’t find the answer, although I expect it has been answered a million times.
I have downloaded 3 movie files ex Kazzaa.
I think I have downloaded every codec to be able to play them, but can’t get them to go in either quicktime or WMP.
They have the following details:-
teg (title)divx.avi,
tcr (title) divx.avi
cdeteg (title) vcd xvid.avi
Can someone tell me how to view them please.
WMP seems to be playing but there is no sound or picture.

http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html
it can help you diagnose the correct codec (or file format if it’s not an avi), as well as tell you if the avi file is corrupt.
