paramux Guest | wow... year-old topic...
anyway, it is kind of hard to see the 'next page' link at the bottom of these pages so its understandable that some people might not realize that questions they have have already been asked and/or answered. however, that’s still not an excuse for not reading posts thoroughly. ok, im rambling.
now...
USE ALLTOAVI ALLTOAVI ALLTOAVI SOLVED ALL MY PROBLEMS WITH CONVERSION, THAT’S WHY IM TELLING YOU TO USE IT USE IT USE IT
heheheheh

Sakura Guest | Okay, yeah, I know that a huge list of other programs and such have been listed, but not one of them seem to work on my computer; something always goes wrong. One of them, however, does work: River Past. I was able to convert my ogm within minutes, the size wasn’t overwhelming, and the sound and quality was perfect. But it had no subtitles, I can’t understand anything they’re saying! Many people have posted the same thing, but the answers were always involving different programs. Does anyone know how to make the subtitles appear with River past?
Thanks in advance | |

kiko Guest | i found that the easiest way to convert the ogm is by using “ogmtoavi”. If its a dual audio track it will convert both tracks which are still present within the avi. All you need to do is use virtualdubmod..then open the avi file....open up the streamlist..both tracks will be there. then disable the track you dont want to use then save the avi.

ace52387 Guest | When i use the program, the avi files that come out are around 22 gigabytes from something that’s only like 200 megs. I don’t really know why...

if ur wondering how to use it PROPERLY... its simple.
1. open up your command prompt
2. drag the “ogm->avi converter into command prompt
3. drag the ogm files u want to be converted into the command prompt. (you may have as many files you like as long as you have a space in between it usually you dont need to add anything tho.)
4. hit the ENTER key on your keyboard.
after a few minutes or hours you will have a new avi file. the file will automatically go to file the the ogm came from. usually located at the bottom.
*if you want subs of other languages i dont no yet but if u figure it out please post it!!!
** if ur dumb and get a 24gb file u did sumthin weird and cant help you sory.
I did that and it said it was into an avi, but I got a video clip. It wont play on windows media player nor can I use it in movie maker. How can I get this to work?

Betrayer Guest | I’m in need of some help. I’ve used VirtualDubMod to convert an OGM file to an AVI file. I just saved the video, as I won’t be needing the audio. Now, I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit this video. When I import the video it works in the project table just fine. But, when I drag it into the timeline, it stops working. When I play it in the time line it just stays a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

IceBawlz Guest | OK, if you read this then take heed. AlltoAVI is the best one here. It will do EVERYTHING for you. And it really is easy to use. If you want more options... try Media Coder it does pretty good most of the time.
