Marcus Aurelius Guest | Go to this site: http://www.softarchive.net/ use search for VSO and download ConvertX to DVD also add on file. Add both avi files and click convert simple like that. Before you add files check setting on converter for your video standard and put tv format on automatic. If you have any subtitle file click on the plus in front of your avi file and add it. Good Luck.

I have ended the hassle of encoding AVI to DVD. I bought a Toshiba DVD player with DIVX codec. I got model SD-K850 (HDMI, upconverts to 1080i) for $80 at Costco; $50 for standard hookups model. I imagine any DVD w/DIVX will do.
Picture quality is better than encoding to DVD. All you do is burn .avi files to a DVD, put disc in player, and hit play. It’s a beautiful thing. Fit hours of video in .avi format on one DVD.
