Regular Rep: 6 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,286 | Adding new codecs involves more than just copying files. You need to put the right information in the registry for when the player reads the video, it knows where to look for the files.
The simplest way (in my opinion) is to get the installer for the codec (if you can). If you tell us which codec it is, or perhaps the identifying fourcc, we could tell you where to get it.
Otherwise you’ll have to set the registry information manually.
