Hello all. I dl’ed a 2 CD game, I extracted them to get the large .bin files. I used Daemontools and mounted them to install it and the game is now installed. When I try to start the game, it tells me it “Cannot locate the CD-ROM, Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart Application”.

I have tried to emulate with both CD’s in the vitual drives, and have also burned the CD1 .bin file (through Nero, creating a cue sheet as well) to try to start with that. I thought this would work but I still get the same message. Anyone’s help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try a no-cd crack: use the search at http://astalavista.com to find one (some can be DL’d off Kazaa as well, but you risk DL’ing a virus). That does the trick 95% of the time. If you post the name of the game, It’s likely I could post back with a link if you have no luck.

No no no... don’t even try to search on http://astalavista.com because you won’t find nothing. Go directly to http://www.gamecopyworld.com, click on 1 of the mirrors and then and look for a no-cd crack in the game index and then extract the rar file (in most cases it will be rar) to the directory you installed the game and when it asks if you want to overwrite the original file click yes. Enjoy playing smiley

Yeah don’t even try astalavista, considering that it is a meta-search THAT INCLUDES GAMECOPYWORLD. Another words, if it isn’t on astalavista, it isn’t on gamecopyworld. Why limit your search to one site?

Walking around the world to end up in the same place again...

Alpha_max333- did you make sure the crack wasn’t included with the download? Often they are included on the install disc... you have to explore the CD for it.

I guess the crack is in the .bin file but most cracks are still not no-cd... They are fixed .exe (cracked .exe). He needs a no-cd crack to run the game...

whenever i dl a game from BT it almost always has the serial and no-cd crack. if not i use astalavista to find each (no-cd crack at gamecopyworld or other, serial at deluxe serials or other), and if that fails search kazaa. astalavista is just a nice way to find it all using their searches.
