Shawn Downs Guest | I did a dolby 5.1 mix for my movie. I had a guy do all the encoding and lay it onto my HDCAM tape.
So that is great, but most festivals only take dvd. I still have the six wav files for each speaker. So can anyone tell me how to take them and make them into an AC3 file so the dvd will play 5.1? And also so it will play everything stereo if someone doesnt have a 5.1 system.

watsup Guest | ive downloaded xp codec pack 2.1.0 and can play my files in media player classic. But i cant play them in media player 11 and divx, because there is no sound with it. wmp plays it with no sound and divx tells me that the file contain a dolby AC3 audio (code 8192). The thing is that ive got the latest codecs for it cause with xp codec pack. Why cant i hear any sound in wmp 11 and divx? please help me

Some of us have had fair luck using BeSweet/BeLight to create AC3/dolby. It’s a reverse engineered product.
I’ve used it a number of times to create AC3 for DVDs. Supposedly, it will encode 5.1 channel AC3. However, as I don’t have any 5 channel to encode, I have not verified this. Here’s a URL on downloading and installation:

AC3 5.1 encoded audio automatically plays in stereo on stereo-only polayers - if it is correctly encoded.
