Ripperu Guest | Hello. I have a big big problem..
first of all i want to tell you my computer configuration: Amd k6 233Mhz, 98mb ram, video: 4mb Matrox.
now.. I have problems running .avi files, .mpg,.mpeg run very very good. I have windows98, whenever i try to run a .avi .. i get this message: Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported. (Error=80040265), i searched the internet..and i found a few solutions..but none of them worked.. i have installed many many codecs..but only klcodec worked .. but i do not know why it works really really slow ..i mean.. i can see all the frames.
I don`t think it could be because i have a weak computer..i`ve seen movies that work on slower ones. Please help me if you can.

Big Guy Guest | Hi Ripper i think your computer is kind of old and you are using windows 98 not XP...
if those video Encodes won’t work that’s becasue i think your vidoe card is not good enuogh.... ok my comptuer is p4 2.8Ghz 512 Ram 120 Gb. video card 9250 128 megabit it work’s for me fine.. i don’t know about you... | |

I brought mp3/mp4 player in china. It have 2 GB memoey, firmware version ACTS16D_13 2005/06/01 WS-3.2.16 2005/07/28, device name : S! Mp3 Player, Prosuctor : Wilson Co.Ltd.
This mp4 name is G-Apple
I formatted it. The memory went down to 109 MB. I try format in FAT and FAT32 it’s not work.

No help from my hand, as today I had exactly the sampe problem on a 4G device. Same firmeware same everything. In case you crack your problem, please let me know, I’ll do the same for you.

pretty much the same device (mp3/mp4) from china, same firmware. I can’t see video, trying to use mp4 converters but so far no luck, my cd is in chinese so i’ve got no idea about the machine, it ain’t very user friendly

I think that us with 2/4 GB Chinese MP3 players has been fooled. Just saw an page from US, with picture of mine.
I was actually just a 128 MB std. player in fancy dress. So I binned it, and will not spend any more time on this.

quil Guest | Ok, i opened the same player and noticed that there is a sticker that says “128mb” so its a 128mb player, so we all got punk’d :P
But well, i payd only 12 euros (~120 yuans) for the player so its a good 128mp3 player, that has tetris and you can watch pcitures with it | |

fakeMP4s Guest | Had a quick browse thru this forum and just want to say that all these cheap mp4 players are fake.
They claim to play lots of formats but in fact dont. They play files called AMV and MTV but the chinese call them MP4s. Obviously they know we love MP4s so have no worries about passing them off as the real thing.... why tf we let them get away with it baffles me!
Ne ways if you have one dont formatt and look for a good AMV converter to play your movies.
Not sure about WMA files as i am still investigating....some MP3s will work and some wont.
Take my advice and buy a real one and def not from china!!! | |
