Converting using winavi help?

I am converting a movie using win avi. my file is in avi format and i want to change it into dvd format.

But when i convert the file and play it all i get is a blank black screen.

Does any body know what is wrong.

use DivxToDVD, just google the name and u will find a download it is the trial so it will have a website in the middle of the screen, unless u give it a reg code, where u can find on a serial site, this 1 my bro uses it is http://www.astalavista.com/

it might find 1 i don’t kno, but i use the program and it is great
