Thriller_20 Guest | Seems that not many people actually know exactly what is going on with Sharereactor, but we can be certain that as soon as is possible Simon Moon will have an explanation as to what has been going on, who knows maybe they are going through an overhaul or programming change. Just be patient, we’ll know soon enough.

QUOTE:
ShareReactor has become one of the most popular link sites for the eDonkey2000/Overnet community. This site made the “search” feature irrelevant by using hash codes to directly link an individual with a file. Hash links have proven to be invaluable in the fight against corrupt or false files.
However, after approximately three years as the top link site for eDonkey2000/Overnet, its future is drawn into great question. The site has been down for several days, with little in the way of an explanation. The little information that has surfaced has been confined to the ShareReactor chatroom and a few forum posts. The ShareReactor IRC chat room topic states the following:
“MAINPAGE & FORUM WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE BACK UP, PLEASE DO NOT ASK WHY, WE WILL TELL YOU WHEN WE KNOW MORE!"
The site administrator, Simon Moon, has been unreachable since the site closure. Because of the fluid nature of the current situation, the ShareReactor administration has asked us to remove their previous statements, stating “ShareReactor will be down until further notice."

They have an IRC channel where you could possibly ask about the site. However, they’re probably in the dark as much as everyone else is. | | | 17 Mar 2004 03:55 am |

ShareReactor Domino Effect:
The fall of the ShareReactor Empire is having far reaching effects in the file-sharing world. The impact of its collapse is just beginning to take effect, as the well-respected eDonkey2000 statistical site Jigle.com has gone off-line.
The administrator of the site, Melange, has closed the site, at least temporary. For now, the explanation is vague, and refers to not wanting to cause further harm to Simon Moon. We have contacted Melange and hope to update this story soon. The following is from Jigle.com:
Sorry, this service is closed until further notice.
Reason: The ShareReactor has been shut down due to legal issues (if you speak German read here) and it is unclear whether and when it will return. I’m not aware that anything is going on against my person, but I do not want to cause further costs to Simon Moon and therefore have decided to shut my services down.
So long and thanks to all the people that helped me through the previous two years with this project,
Melange.
