playback issue... video plays at a fast speed and audio is scattered

hey guys,

i downloaded a movie from a torrent and when i went to play it, it was as if the move was being fastforwarded while i was watching it... and the audio was moving so fast that it was all scattered and didn’t make any sense. i know it’s not the movie because this has happened to me before but i thought then that it was just the movie so i deleted it.

does anyone know what’s going on??
