Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 20 Jan 2006 Posts: 1 OFFLINE | Has anyone had any experience copying .mpg files to the PRG001 folder on their JVC Everio and playing them on the camera?
I copied EXAMPLE.MPG to the folder on my camera (i own a GZ-MG40) and changed the file name to to MOV002.MOD. When i boot up the camera, it says that Video Management file is broken, recovery is required. after recovery, the there is no thumbnail. I assumed that was the purpose of the .MOI and i copied another .MOI file and changed the name to MOV002.MOI. After boot up again, the system prompted again for Recovery and after completion, there was a thumbnail. The problem is, the video file will play but with no sound.
Does the .MPG file need to be converted to .MOD first? Can you convert a .MPG to .MOD? Has anyone tried playing different .MPG movie files on their camera or have any experience gettting this to work?
