XviD *very* slow encoding

well i recently formatted my HDD and re-installed windows, and ever since when ever i try to encode movies with XviD....it goes very slow....very...as in 1fp...the thing is...if i try to encode with any other codec it works fine and i get a speed of normally 50-60fps...it’s just XviD that’s not working properly...i’ve tried un-installing and re-installing several times, nothing seems to work xD

any ideas?
