MP4 player losing memory?

I bought an MP4 player and i’ve uploaded quite abit of stuff before. My memory was 2GB back then, but when i formated it today and uploaded some other stuff, it showed my memory being 115MB. I don’t know how that is possible, can anyone help me. I’ve tried restarting my computer and stuff, and uploading it again, but it now says memory full, which means i can only upload 115mb of stuff in my mp4. How did my mp4 lose memory after formating? Is it possible? please reply me...thankew
