I’ve downloaded
The Rules Of Attraction.CD1.[DMT].Osloskop and CD2 from Emule and the sound didn’t work on WMP and neither on DIVX player.
It only worked on VLC.
i downloaded codec from
http://download.divxmovies.com/ac3codec.zip
and it crashed both DIVX player AND WMP.

i then downloaded and installed ac3filter_0_70b
from
http://audiotag.org/codecs/ac3audiocodec.shtml,
and the sound and everything works fine now .
thanx!!

"At first I could watch the film but had the usual error message regarding sound “Audio Data: Tag 8192”.

Then I installed the AC3-codec and now I can’t even open the movie-file. Windows Media Player crashes everytime I try, and the same happens with the DivX-Player.

So my advise is don’t install the AC3-codec if you are running WinXP!

I have the same problem.. however I just want to know is there anything I can do to fix the problem? Please does anyone know how to help me

Okay, I opened he files of the codec for Tag: 8192, and an error pops up saying I have to UnZip 2 other files in order to get it to work. How do I UnZip it?

Im trying to watch Dawn of the Dead, but its not finished DLing yet. Is it normal for DivX to play for like 5 seconds then crash and I have to wait until the DL is done?

I had the no-sound problem followed by the crashing problem when I installed the Divx codec. So I tried this instead (thanks to someone here) and it works perfectly:
