fileglobal Guest | I use XP and downloaded ac3codec.zip
and it did crash all media players as others mentioned here. Then I downloaded ac3filter_0_70b.exe, it restored the video, but still no sound. Do I need to get rid of ac3codec? If yes, then how do I do it? Please help!

SilveradoSidewinder Guest | I have WinMX, and I downloaded the AC3 codecs at
http://audiotag.org/codecs/ac3audiocodec.shtml
Works good, no problems, Only the sound on the videos I needed the codecs for, seems not as loud as 'normal' videos, that already had good sound. Is that a side-effect of the AC3 codecs, or just bad luck?

Iceman157 Guest | OK!! here is what I did and IT WORKS FOR ME!!. I first installed the codec from ac3codec.zip on my windows xp system. This caused my windows media player/winamp/divxplayer to crash. Then I installed ac3filter_0_70b from . And now everything works fine.

Simwolf Guest | to all people having problems running Media Player after installing the ac3codec, get the ac3filter_0_70b.exe from http://audiotag.org/codecs/ac3audiocodec.shtml as told by Your Saviour
This will sort out Media Player crashing AND will allow you to watch AND listen to Tag 8192 movie files. I’ve tested it myself flawlessly. If it isn’t working for you, then the problem is between the chair and the keyboard
