AndyJ Guest | I tried the MVS converter on a 320 X 192 .avi (90.2 Mb) and ended up with a .mvs file of 159 Mb.
I then used VirtualDubMod to reduce the screen size to 128 X 128 giving a file size of 40.2 Mb. Using the MVS converter on this file gave a .mvs file of 212 Mb.
Has anyone any idea how MVS Multimedia Convert can produce a much larger file from a much smaller start file? In contrast, I converted the 90.2 Mb to .amv and got 8.37 Mb!! The 8.37 Mb .amv file looks as good as the 212 Mb .MVS file but my MP4 player does not recognize .amv (although the advert said it did!
If the person who wrote the MVS Multimedia Converter (and presumably invented the .mvs format) can write English, perhaps he / she could enlighten us.
Any ideas? | |

Hey do SD cards work with the MVS player?
Cos I have a 1 gb one so that would be good
Some MVS players take SD cards - try searching on “MP4 player SD” on ebay.co.uk (or wherever your rbay is).

I dont know how to download musicvideos to my mp4 i dont understand the booklet can someone help please!
Hi Marietta,
The usual way is to connect your MP4 to a PC using its USB plug or a USB cable. Windows XP should recognise it and show it as another drive in explorer. Simply copy the MP3s to the mp4 drive (usually the root directory, but have a look first to see where any mp3 it came with is stored, and put them there). If your MP4 takes SD cards you may need to switch to the SD card before connecting to the PC. With other MP4 players you may find a drive pops up for the internal memory and the SD. Hope that helps.

Try putting your songs in folders / directories (up to 99 in each). Many players have the restriction of 99 per folder. Mine doesn’t seem to want to show the folders, but you can hear the songs!

The Jackal Guest | hey people throw those crappy toys in the trash and buy a real mp3 player and save the trouble
by the way the trick in the memory is done using faulty pointers on the flash memory to virtually show a larger space no compression or anything...(& by formating you fixed those pointers)
all that caused by those mofo chinese companies thats why never ever buy any single electronic device from china cause all of those stuff comming from china especialy the non branded ones are fuckedup trust me i ve been in this business for a while.
there are other relatively cheap replacements for those from companies like “mpio”
I hope i ve saved any one i ve just registered to say this.. Moderated 21 Jun 2007 09:55 am by anonymous

Jacoligee Guest | Hi. I had the same problem with my MP4 player. The smallest video file you can convert your movies would be into amv files. My MP4 player has only 2 GB of memory. I could fit 90 songs, 8 music videos and a whole movie(The Benchwarmers) on it. It’s because the videos are small files. There’s a place you can download an amv converter : www.igreen.com.hk/download/MP3set3_68.zip
If your MP4 player doesn’t play amv files, you can download something to your MP4 player to play those types of files. Hope this helps.
